The problem is, the backward compatible scene files don't load in 2013 either!! THANKS AUTODESK for causing us so much pain!!! Again!Īlso, backburner 2014 doesn't appear to accept jobs from our LW to Backburner script any more! Every avenue has broken.Things like this are why I almost NEVER recommend anything other than a business class system. We have got some seriously urgent work that needs to be done, and we made the STUPID decision to hop over to the new version a month or so ago! We KNEW we should have waited. :109ģdsmax adapter error : 3dsmax.exe process no response INF 3dsmax adapter : ***WARNING*** Missing dll: Built-in - AnchorHelperObjectĪnd then when we delete the job, this error:ĮRR Application load error: 3dsmax adapter error : The pipe has been ended.
INF Adapter returned unexpected code -2 for "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2014\" "-o" "shutdown" "-1" "info" It's not ALL of the time, but randomly scenes are causing this error (I presume it's the scenes, it could quite easily be a 3dsMax problem, or backburner, or even IT).ĮRR Application unload timeout (0 minutes) We're getting this too, with 3dsMax 2014 and SP1 update.
Is there any concrete fix or is it still trial and error? Others suggest removing/replacing elements from the scene being rendered. Posts re: MAX 2012 suggested the problem lies with IPv6 and that disabling it would resolve it. Moving the Backburner manager to another (3rd) 32-bit computer (win-XP), then setting the BOXX 4920 up as a server still gives the same error.Ī quick internet search reveals this as an ongoing issue. Is there a conflict there? If the BOXX 4920 renders directly out of MAX 2013, not as a server, it renders without error. the manager log shows both Backburner 20 installed and loaded. Both computers also have MAX 2014 and Bacburner 2014 installed. With BOXX4920 running as both Server and Manager and the Renderpro set up as server, the BOXX 4920 server failed with message:"adapter load error:3DSMAX adapter error, the pipe has been ended 109 3DSMax adapter error." RenderPro is OK. Similar/same backburner error in MAX2013 running in Win7 on BOXX4920 workstation and Renderpro. it was a painstaking process to find the problem-geometry in the file and took several hours, but I was at the end of my sanity with a deadline quickly approaching so I had no other options! Been using 3dsmax for over 15 years now and it never ceases to amaze me at how many random and new production-down errors I get on a monthly basis these days =(. I hope this helps someone else out there. No idea what was "wrong" with it and why it created such a massive error, but I fixed it by collapsing the modifier stack so that it was just an Editable Poly - worked like a charm, no more problems with the file and network rendering! It was an editable poly mesh object that I modeled from scratch, it was very simply geometry with textures. Luckily i was able to troubleshoot it and solve the problem! Turns out one of the objects in the scene had something wrong with it. :109ģdsmax adapter error : 3dsmax.exe process no response". Just a few days ago I started getting this same error message with one of my files when trying to network render: "ERR Application load error: 3dsmax adapter error : The pipe has been ended.
On one of my test machines it wasn't enough to uninstall and reinstall the new Subscription Advantage Pack (probably due to the fact that i'd installed/uinstalled/reinstalled updates, hotfixes etc so many times).Īfter a clean uninstall:(remove the products from control panel, remove the install folder from program files, remove the registry entries in both local_machine and current_user, remove the user setting) a fresh install of 3ds Max 2012 with the new Subscription Advantage Pack (which includes SP2) and Backburner 2012.1 (see post backburner_2012_1_is_available_for_download) works fine. To resolve this issue you need to install the updated Subscription Advantage Pack (see the previous post: updated_subscription_advantage_pack_is_available). With the original Subscription Advantage Pack for 3ds Max 2012/3ds Max Design 2012 you may get the following error if you use the serversvc service:Ģ 12:01:12 ERR Error message: 3dsmax adapter error : The pipe has been ended.ģdsmax adapter error : 3dsmax.exe process no response.
